Kool Customer unites two buds (<a href="spotify:artist:2j6f7lxXOFnCcHVPcv9osR" data-name="Rojai">Rojai</a> & <a href="spotify:artist:7xc31aDpVtMW34JWjZvAG4" data-name="B. Bravo">B. Bravo</a>) who met partying in the dorms at San Francisco State University and bonded over their shared love of hip hop & funk, performing live music, and having a good time. Over the span of two decades their friendship has sparked the creation of countless songs and performances, often as part of other bands, or their own solo projects. Both artists relished the opportunity to finally use their material for something completely their own, and in 2018, Kool Customer the group was born, with their debut self-titled album on Bastard Jazz.
Featuring a funky disco R&B vibe mixed with slumpy feel good seduction and a dash of salaciousness, their musical offerings blend late night antics with life wisdom and lessons. They draw from their lived experience as musicians who have evolved into family men, and can look back on their tours, joke fueled studio sessions as well as the variegated ups and downs of relationships to infuse pearls of wisdom into their craft. Kool Customer’s latest album ‘At Your Service’ finds the duo getting back in touch with their hip hop roots and experimenting within their own realm of beats, bars and dance floor fun.
