Janek Korczyński. 26 years old, originally from Gdańsk, PL.
After two years since my last release — years filled with experimenting and searching for my own sound — I’m back with my debut album 'Nomadisme' and the first single, 'I'd Rather Leave, Pt. 1'. The album explores the instability of belonging, the pursuit of an ideal place, and the ultimate recognition that true home is found in the infinite value of personal relationships. The tracks are definitely eclectic and reflect my musical fascinations, while still holding together as a cohesive piece of work. If you’re looking for genres, you’ll definitely find plenty of them — just don’t expect me to point them out. That’s not my game.
'I'd Rather Leave, Pt. 1' is a layered reflection on emotional contradictions — between closeness and distance, intensity and numbness, presence and detachment. It captures the feeling of being close yet misunderstood; grounded, yet overlooked. It shows how chaotic and overwhelming the ups and downs of life can be. The track’s internal chaos is mirrored in its intensity and dynamics.
Aside from the first single — paradoxically — my music tends to evoke a sense of patience, empathy, and calm. It can pause the listener, push them to stop for a moment. But that impression is just as true as it is completely misleading. Best to find out for yourself. Alone, ideally.
