Krejad is the one-man-band project led by Clinton Houseman, based in Ozark, MO. Krejad began in 2009 with a series of home demos that were eventually further developed and released as the album Impasse in 2012. Impasse was characterized by a lo-fi sound, alternating between introspective ballads, and guitar-driven songs reminiscent of 90s alternative rock and metal, with elements of experimental and progressive music throughout the album. Impasse was followed by Three Worlds in 2016; Three Worlds features more of a distinctly progressive and occasionally ambient sound, with Clinton handling all of the instrumentation and production himself. In 2020, the third Krejad album, Latchkey, was released, containing many of the progressive and hard rock elements of the first two records, along as influences from jazz and classic singer-songwriter and folk music, as well as some of the most personal and confessional Krejad songs to date.
