Kris Laguana

Kris Laguaña, aka “Kris With a K” was born & raised on Guam. He’s the youngest son of the late Miguel “Mike” Laguaña & Bertha Johnson Almeida. He was only 9 when his father passed, so he had to learn how to sing on his own. Taking interest in Band in middle school, he started with Percussion & Brass. Eventually, taught himself to play the piano & some guitar.

In High School, Kris’s first audition landed him a Chorus Member role for GATE theater’s HSM 2. From then on, his early Mentors, Anne & Ray, helped him get increasingly more notable roles: Luis in Copa Cabana, Bernstein in Little Shop of Horrors, King Max in Cinderella, & Brown Cesario for Camp Rock.

While in High School, Kris discovered his biggest inspiration to date, Lady Gaga. When his brother, Luke, played Beautiful, Dirty, Rich in the car, Kris started listening to her more. It wasn’t until the Paparazzi Music Video came out that Kris became a devoted Little Monster.

After high school, a special mentor & friend helped shape his life. Ernest Ochoco casted Kris in Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, & Fidgety Fairytales giving him more & more opportunities to learn & grow.

In 2013, he left Guam to pursue his dreams in the mainland USA.
He made it past 2 rounds on America’s Got Talent & 1 round for American Idol.

With no success, he put his dreams on hold..

Here we are several years later and he is finally working on his Debut Album with Klubjumpers and Liz Scott.
