Kristian Kaspersen

Kristian Kaspersen is a Swedish/Norwegian multi-talented artist with his heart in both performing arts and music. His debut single Queer at Heart was released in 2012, followed by the personal debut album The Last Temptation of Kristian Kaspersen the following year. The album reflected Kristian’s upbringing on the countryside of Dalarna and revolved around themes such as non-conforming identity and inner strength — regardless of society’s expectations.

The EP Big Black Hole (2015), along with the internationally noted tracks One Little Thing and Love Like I’ve Never Been Hurt, took his sound in a more club-oriented direction, strongly influenced by ’90s synthpop.

After a few years' break, Kristian released his second album, 2nd Time Around, in 2022. It came nearly a decade after his debut, with lyrics centered on processing the mix of both loss and freedom that comes after the end of a long-term relationship.

Over the years, he has performed on countless Pride events across Sweden, appeared in musicals such as RENT, and collaborated musically with, among others, SoundFactory.

Now it's time for the next chapter: his first release in Swedish. The EP Alla kan gå vidare förutom jag (“Everyone Can Move On Except Me”) is being released on May 16 and shows a more stripped-down and direct side of Kristian.
