Kuba Oms is one of those rare artists whose voice touches you deep in your soul. Kuba commands the stage with the same ease and compelling aura that mark the global superstars of today and yesterday.
Based in Vancouver BC, his recent singles take him back to his roots, embracing the soulful warmth of classic R&B, soul and country-blues. “There are definitive parallels to classic R&B and the old country music I grew up listening to. I’ve really enjoyed going back to my roots as well as embracing the old school analog recording techniques”. He has co-produced this new album with his good friend, John Raham (Ocie Elliot, Frazey Ford). With influences drawn from legends like Al Green, Joe Cocker and CSNY, the result is a deeply personal with a universally resonant sound.
His new EP entitled, The Road, will be released on October 17 and marks a new chapter for Kuba. Kuba has already earned recognition across the globe for his previous work, which includes writing a duet with Alex Cuba on his Latin GRAMMY winning album Healer.
