kukatachii is a Japanese band that bases their activity mainly in Tokyo. Despite being influenced by a variety of genres including 80's pop music, contemporary R&B and Funk, they create original and new style of music.
The leading vocal, Yudai's unique voice draws audience into their own world with addictive melody. kukatachii's live performance is filled with restlessness and excitement and constantly attracting fans both in and outside Japan.
東京を拠点に活動するkukatachii(クカタチ)は、Yudai(Vo.)、Yui(Key.)によるユニット。
ユニット名は古代⽇本で⾏われていた神明裁判の「盟神探湯」(クカタチ)に由来する。
「盟神探湯」とは、神様に⾝の潔⽩を⽰すための神判のことで、フロントマンであるVo. Yudaiの⼤の⽇本史好きからその名を命名した。
80年代のポップス、R&B、ファンク等、主にブラックミュージックに影響を受けたメンバーは多様なジャンルを取り⼊れつつも、それを独⾃のスタイルで包括して現代的且つ新しいアレンジに落とし込んだサウンドを作り出す。
中性的でありながら男の⾊気を感じさせるハイトーンボイスのヴォーカルYudaiが作り出す独創的な歌詞とメロディーの世界観は⼀度聴いたらクセになる。
そんな多彩な⾳楽性を持ち合わせたkukatachiiのライブパフォーマンスは疾⾛感に満ちたサウンドスタイルで国内外のライブ会場を魅了する。
