Kunal Pandit

Kunal Pandit is a singer, songwriter, and performer from Mumbai, India, known for blending Indian classical music with Western R&B and pop. Born on October 7, 1993, Kunal began his musical journey at the age of five under the guidance of his father, Pradeep Pandit. By seven, he was already performing on stage, showcasing his natural talent and passion for music.

He attended Bombay Cambridge High School and later studied at Mithibai College in Mumbai. Over the years, he honed his craft by learning jazz and Western music under mentors like Raymond Pimenta, Raja Pandit, and Xavier Fernandes, and mastered tabla under Mridangraj Suchak of the Ajrada Gharana. His unique style draws inspiration from global icons such as Chris Brown, The Weeknd, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, and Usher, resulting in a sound that effortlessly fuses traditional Indian elements with modern pop and R&B.

Kunal gained nationwide recognition through his incredible performances on Indian Idol Season 10, which catapulted him to fame. Since then, he has toured internationally, frequently collaborating with renowned artists such as Neha Kakkar and the Vishal-Shekhar duo.

In addition to live performances, Kunal is now exploring both the world of film music and the independent music scene. His recent works Din Doob Gaye and Mar Jana Mai reflect a deeper artistic vision, experimenting with diverse genres while staying true to his roots.
