Kushgad

KushGad is a Jamaican artist known for his versatility, international influence, and loud visual style that blends authentic dancehall energy with a global sound. Formerly known as Juss Ice, he rose to prominence with a string of early hits and later cemented his presence with standout full-length projects like “Get Hype” on ZJ Chrome’s Smoking Riddim and “Swag Machine” on Jam 2’s Bipolar Riddim, among other notable releases.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, on December 18, KushGad began writing and recording music from a young age. At just 10 years old, he recorded his first track with legendary producer Jeremy Harding — a sign of the raw talent he carried early on.

His journey hasn’t been without challenges. In the early 2000s, driven by ambition, KushGad took a leap of faith and traveled to London with nothing but CDs, stickers, and a dream. His hustle paid off, earning him a performance at the African Jam West at Elephant & Castle’s Cornet Theatre alongside top Jamaican acts. He also joined a 14-venue tour across Florida with Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz, and recently completed a European tour with Italian trap star Vacca, continuing to expand his international reach.

With a story built on grit, global movement, and musical impact, KushGad is not just an artist — he’s a force pushing the dancehall genre beyond borders.
