Kutt Calhoun ( born Melvin Calhoun Jr.) is an "International Recording Artist” and the founder and CEO of Black Gold Entertainment. A native of Kansas City , MO who got his first start professionally as a recording artist with fellow native and "Independent Rap Mogul" Tech N9NE and his label Strange Music Inc. from late 1998 up until 2014 and has toured all over the U.S. After which, Kutt decided to professionally part ways to start his own recording Label Black Gold Ent. During his tenure at Strange Music, Kutt recorded and released four full length studio albums and two EP's (i.e.) Bleve (2004), Feature Presentation (2008), Raw and UnKutt (2010), Black Gold (2013), Red Headed Stepchild (2011) and Kelvin(2012) which included collaborations from "Major Recording Artist" such as E-40, Too Short and Joe Budden. His 2015 Kuttin Loose EP was the first released on his label Black Gold Entertainment distributed through Empire Distribution.
