Kyraxx

Kyraxx is a Jamaican-American recording artiste &amp; songwriter. He is most known for his collaborations with fellow Jamaican &amp; Grammy Nominated producer <a href="spotify:artist:5IzolPBJ2JFhc2NeNA8Log" data-name="Iotosh">Iotosh</a> (Koffee, Protoje, Jorja Smith). Together, they are contributing to a shift in the sound of Modern Reggae &amp; Dancehall music.


Born December 1997 in Mandeville, Jamaica, Kehmaury Black grew up in a music-loving family. Raised in his aunt’s house, songs from reggae &amp; dancehall artists such as <a href="spotify:artist:72T7x96EAqN2UWvAgobYfv" data-name="Sizzla">Sizzla</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6550dJCDSrZ8Cv6IDAjHpf" data-name="Sanchez">Sanchez</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2ruMkdO4e1tJWDHsYSEtxr" data-name="Beres Hammond">Beres Hammond</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:0UmBaQJflaHddKtf1lrA6F" data-name="Dennis Brown">Dennis Brown</a> were played regularly. As he entered adolescence, he discovered artists such as <a href="spotify:artist:1Xyo4u8uXC1ZmMpatF05PJ" data-name="The Weeknd">The Weeknd</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5spEJXLwD1sKUdC2bnOHPg" data-name="Bone Thugs-N-Harmony">Bone Thugs-N-Harmony</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1RyvyyTE3xzB2ZywiAwp0i" data-name="Future">Future</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5K4W6rqBFWDnAN6FQUkS6x" data-name="Kanye West">Kanye West</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3TVXtAsR1Inumwj472S9r4" data-name="Drake">Drake</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:2HPaUgqeutzr3jx5a9WyDV" data-name="PARTYNEXTDOOR">PARTYNEXTDOOR</a> via the internet.


It was around this time that he was introduced by a mutual friend to Iotosh – who, at the time, was just a student &amp; amateur beatmaker on the dormitory. The pair shared a deep appreciation for music, and soon after they were working on original material together under the name “<a href="spotify:playlist:4OkIMgRCzcbcT6biz6d39v" data-name="SOUND TING">SOUND TING</a>”.

After a couple of projects, singles, and a brief hiatus, he’s returned to the music scene to establish himself in the genre that’s inspired him the most: Dancehall.


<a href="spotify:album:24Ff794YRIBWsQvaCy9AdF" data-name="DAT LOVIN&#39;">DAT LOVIN&#39;</a> ft. <a href="spotify:artist:55W2LEMLfoiLSQI23Spivm" data-name="Zac Jone$">Zac Jone$</a> (released in January 2023) finds Kyraxx reminiscing on the pros &amp; cons of a relationship over an upbeat, modern dancehall production from Iotosh.
This effort is intended to build momentum for Kyraxx&#39;s forthcoming dancehall EP, executively produced by Iotosh as usual.
