Lancaster-based Lady King & The Aces formed in the Spring of 2024. Their diversified sound is influenced by a wide range of bands and musical styles such as rock, funk, jazz and more. They are best described as alternative indie rock with periodic psychedelic-jams.
The band is fronted by Rachel (Lady) King, the powerful lead singer of the quintet. Her vocals gel perfectly with her pensive lyrics. Sterling Keesey tackles lead guitar with an emotive (and commanding) approach, which is sure to captivate any listener. Also on guitar is Tyler Helsabeck, who handles lead parts with spacious, nuanced playing, and typically holds down the rhythm. On drums, virtuoso Julian Secula will absolutely take your breath away. His fills are impeccable. Dustin Cain holds it all together with his unending creativity and propulsive grooves, bringing a sense of melodic nature to the bass.
