Ladybower

Although forming in 2019, Ladybower go right back to the early 2010s, when childhood friends Joe (lead vocals, guitar and keys) and George (drums and percussion) created music together in garages and bedrooms - turning a local village church outside Leeds into an after hours rehearsal space. After moving to Sheffield, George and Joe found their way to bassist Jack, and officially formed <a href="spotify:artist:5Rr63VbJlenjGg59of1ssh" data-name="Ladybower">Ladybower</a>

Our sound comes from a wide mixture of influences, with reviewers praising the ‘hints of <a href="spotify:artist:36E7oYfz3LLRto6l2WmDcD" data-name="Pulp">Pulp</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1o7zIbVAgDDHKijLVuLASg" data-name="Longpigs">Longpigs</a>’ (BBC Introducing), the ‘transatlantic sensibilities of <a href="spotify:artist:066X20Nz7iquqkkCW6Jxy6" data-name="LCD Soundsystem">LCD Soundsystem</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2x9SpqnPi8rlE9pjHBwmSC" data-name="Talking Heads">Talking Heads</a>’ (RGM), the ‘boggling vocal range of <a href="spotify:artist:12Chz98pHFMPJEknJQMWvI" data-name="Muse">Muse</a>’(O!B), and Morrissey-esque melancholy’(Only a Northern One), to name a few
