LANA was born in Shonan, Kanagawa Prefecture. She started uploading her songs on SoundCloud from 2020. Her fresh yet powerful singing and relatable lyrics she writes as a teenager have been a hot topic that has taken the charts by storm. Since then, she has received a stream of offers from Japan and overseas, and started producing and collaborating with trackmakers and rappers on numerous songs as a featuring artist.
While her songs are based on HIPHOP and R&B, her strength lies in creating melodies that demonstrate her borderless and genre-less talent, as well as her unforgettable husky voice. She officially started releasing music from 2022. She made a series of smash hits, including “FLAME,” which expresses a fresh momentum that penetrates the mainstream music scene; “PULL UP,” the fusion of dance trends and iconic gal vibes; and “TURN IT UP (feat. Candee & ZOT on the WAVE),” the massive hit that secured its rank on the top of the J-POP charts beyond the rap scene. In her new song “L7 Blues,” she sings about her past struggles up to her current success in an upbeat style based on the street music Baile Funk. As a new dimension of pop music, she is receiving great attention and high expectations for the new image of DIVA that she has been establishing.
