Last Lightning is a Norwegian Black Metal band from Ås that started out in 2016. The band began with releasing the EP’s “Last Lightning” (2018) and “Strangled” (2019), both of which contained a mixture of Punk and Black Metal. With the debut album “Porten” (2021) the band went towards a pure Black Metal direction including melodic elements, inspired by Taake, Windir, Satyricon and Darkthrone to name a few. The band has developed it’s sound even further, and the results can be heard on the second album "The Unholy Ritual" (2022).
The band members are Marius Finstad, Kacper Sliwa, and Nils Henrik Kolpus Sjøwall.
