Late Night Special's funked-up rockin’ soul vibe is all about breaking rules, lifting spirits, and connecting with audiences who crave something real. Based in Charlotte, the group’s sound is reminiscent of The Killers and Lord Huron, with Fred Lee IV's Red Hot-Kings of Leon flare at the forefront.
LNS found a boost of exposure in 2020 with the indie anthem, “Don’t Leave Me Lonely,” from its second full-length album Halfway To Somewhere. Since then, they've explored a variety of sounds as heard in the funky dance cut “If You Groove,” ethereal dreamscape EP World Remains the Same, feel-good power ballad “Summer Nights,” and bombastic 2024 single, “Spray.”
The band is set to release its next album, Seasons, in the second half of 2025.
