LE SON (Liam Fergus & Emily Ady) are an electronic duo from London.
Hailing from a combination of East London and South Wales, Liam and Emily come together to create a laidback and soulful electronic sound, inspired by their contrasting musical influences. Their production style blends a combination of live instrumentation and electronics influenced by artists such as Moses Sumney and Little Dragon, whilst Emily's soulful yet haunting vocal style is reminiscent of darker electronic artists such as Thom Yorke, Portishead and Fever Ray.
The pair first attracted attention with their debut single 'Without a Sound' which appeared on Oprah Winfrey Network drama 'Queen Sugar’, as well as being praised by the much acclaimed musician/DJ/producer ?uestlove. Their sophomore release, double single ‘Ava / 1008’, was well received online, with the lead single ‘Ava’ hitting the top 10 viral tracks on Spotify worldwide.
LE SON’s debut EP 'Le Son' was released in October 2019 on independent label Squareglass. They launched the EP with an intimate headline gig at the House of St Barnabas Chapel, Soho. The EP garnered radio support from the likes of Jamz Supernova (BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra), Erica Mckoy (Worldwide FM) and Gilles Peterson Worldwide (Radio X, Germany).
Liam and Emily write, record and produce all of their music, and are currently in the studio working on a host of new music due for release in 2025.
