This uncanny ability to not only look on the proverbial bright side, but amplify it through her artistry has quietly affirmed the Nashville, TN singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist as a phenomenon. She brings the kind of unfiltered honesty you only see amongst best friends to intimate and infectious indie pop accented by organic instrumentation and rich production.

“There’s a level of honesty in my music that most people would typically shy away from,” she states. “I want the storytelling to be soul-baring. This is like memory excavation for me. I don’t know how to write a song that isn’t honest."

Hailing from the town of Algood, TN, she initially discovered music by cruising with mom in the family minivan where they listened to Taylor Swift’s “Our Song” on repeat. It paved the way for her to embrace inspirations as diverse as Maisie Peters, Chappell Roan, Kacey Musgraves, and Harry Styles.

During 2021, Leanna caught fire with “Strawberry Mentos.” A frenzy on TikTok translated to over 12.5 million Spotify streams on the track. Her Y/N EP yielded “Least Favorite Only child,” piling up 10.8 million Spotify streams and counting. “Diet Coke” gathered 11.4 million Spotify streams and set the stage for a string of successful EPs, namely Forward / Slash [2022], Displays of Affection [2023], and
Good Grief [2023].
