Lee, a Canadian singer/songwriter and bassman, is originally from Vancouver, British Columbia. He has been fronting his current band, Lee Holmes and the Beautitones, for seven years.
Lee is in the final stages of completing his fourth cd of original tunes in Vancouver, British Columbia which will be ready to drop in June, 2019. In the fall of 2019, he has a tour planned for western Canada with the Beautitones as well as a tour of the Veneto, Italy in collaboration with agent Vincenzo Barattin.
In March 2012, Lee formed his current, Lee Holmes & the Beautitones, in Venice, Italy with Marco Bolognini on guitar and Massimo Prosdocimo on drums.
Lee is a graduate of the music program at Capilano University in North Vancouver. While in western Canada, he toured as bassist with various bands until 1987. Between 1990 and 2013, while residing in Ontario, Lee joined up with Mike Burton to create the Hurtin Blues Band. This collaboration produced two cds. In 2015, Lee toured with Sue Foley in Slovenia, Austria and the Czech Republic.
Lee has performed with the following great musicians: Sue Foley, Peter Karp, Amos Garrett, Kenny Blues Boss Wayne, Michael Pickett, Chuck Jackson, Jack De Keyser, Dutch Mason, Michael Fonfara, Julian Fauth, and Steve Marriner.
