The foundation of the band LEMONWOOD goes back to the school days of the musicians. One of Justus’ best friends earmarks Paul to play the bass - remarking that he has a weakness for girls and alcohol, and likes listening to Nirvana - in short, he is the man. Both develope a deep friendship and a common love for Morrissey over the years. To this day, Justus sometimes adds text quotes live looking Paul straight in the eye. A little later, Justus meets guitarist Alex in a live club. Alex is playing a swedish guitar and is just rock ´n´ roll through and through. He also becomes part of the band. Drummer Salo comes in a little later and ultimately completes the quartet. The four are soon on a wild trip and let themselves be inspire by a lot of things - especially Alex and Justus develop a vision for their music that is increasingly psychedelic. Justus' romantic, vague songs turn into sentimental sound bubbles. A few years pass away in which the band members also get insights into their own and foreign abysses, always keeping it going somehow. Quitting is not an option. Change is. So Alex leaves the band as a permanent member in 2019 to continue the journey as a live musician from now on. "You're either on the bus or off the bus". Their debut album "HOME" will be released on September 25, 2020.
