Leslie Odom, Jr. is a Tony and Grammy Award winner; a three-time Emmy and two-time Academy Award nominee; and a New York Times bestselling author. He broke through as Aaron Burr in the Pulitzer Prize–winning Hamilton and recently returned to the role (Sept 9–Nov 26). Last season he returned to Broadway as a producer—alongside Nicolette Robinson and Jeffrey Richards—on the acclaimed revival of Ossie Davis’s Purlie Victorious, earning a Tony nomination himself; the production received six nominations (one win) and was captured for PBS Great Performances. On screen, Odom starred as Sam Cooke in Regina King’s One Night in Miami, with multiple honors for his performance and the original song “Speak Now,” and appears in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, The Many Saints of Newark, Harriet, Abbott Elementary, and The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. His television work includes Apple TV+’s Central Park (2020 Emmy nomination), Hamilton on Disney+ (2021 Emmy nomination), and hosting The Tony Awards Present: Broadway’s Back! (2022 Emmy nomination). As an author, he published Failing Up (paperback, March 2025) and, with Robinson, the children’s book I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know (NYT bestseller, March 2023). Odom has released six albums; his sixth and first live album, An Offering: Live at Speakeasy Studios, arrived October 17, 2025.
