The electronic outfit known as Lets Drive to Alaska was created in 2004 by Christopher Garcia. The project itself was created to explore his dreams and to recreate them with sound. So it comes as no surprise that the songs themselves have a lucid, dream like quality to them. The melodies are nostalgic and ephemeral like dreams, but the driving beats and synthesizers stick with you like a reoccurring one. In 2010 Patrick Haag took up the mantle as a full time drummer and member. Many things have changed through out the years, but the core concepts of having a strong emphasis on electric piano and programmed beats wrapped in an analog blanket of sound remain.
