Sweden's last real rock 'n' roll group.
After being introduced to The Gun Club sometime in 2012 - Erik Lahti (vocals & guitars) became obsessed with everything the band projected - resulting in a set of demos, which were never released (for better or worse, no one will ever know).
However, it sparked the seed to what would become Levande Död.
A year & a move to Gothenburg later marked the humble beginnings of (at this point solo-venture edition) Levande Död, with the recordings of the EP 'Blod & Eld', released as very limited cassette-only release on the Sippin imprint. The Gun Club influences would take a backseat place during these sessions, making way for darker & vaster soundscapes than in previous home-demos.
Parallel with the recordings of 'Blod & Eld' - sessions would be held with a number of various artists & collaborators such as Chicagojazzen, Dolce, Spice Boys & Tigerbukten. Together they would make out the collection of tracks that received the name Upp Till Kramp & released suddenly & quietly as a digital album in 2014.
After being picked up by Happiest Place Records in 2016 & having Upp Till Kramp issued on a full-length LP - the band went from a loose set of characters to a proper band with Hanna Sundbom (vocals, percussion), Gunnar Johansson (bass) & Emma Larsson (drums) making up what we now know as Levande Död.
Currently active with their second album 'Ingen Framtid' - out on the 28th of January through Happiest Place.
