Ugandan Gospel artiste Levixone blends worship, reggae and Afro-fusion into a sound that connects street reality with faith-centered hope. Rising from the slums of Kosovo in Kampala, he grew from community performances and early studio sessions to major concerts, regional collaborations and a position as one of East Africa’s leading Gospel acts. His breakthrough singles in the early 2010s set the pace for a career built on consistency, testimony and a strong connection to young people.
Born Sam Lucas Lubyogo in 1992, he spent part of his early years on the streets after leaving home. A community charity later helped him return to school, where he joined a church choir and began experimenting with singing. Influenced by local Gospel pioneers, he explored reggae and Afro-fusion as he developed his style.
He released early recordings in his teens, gradually building a following. Recognition grew sharply with “Nonya Omu,” which introduced him to a wider audience. More songs followed, including “Turn the Replay” and “Chikibombe,” expanding his reach across Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. His music appeared on Gospel and mainstream playlists, strengthening his profile as an artist able to cross scenes without losing his message.
Between releases, Levixone performed at major Gospel concerts, collaborated with regional artists and steadily built momentum. His work earned award nominations and wins, plus growing media visibility across major TV and radio platforms.
