Libbie Jo Snyder

As a musician, songwriter and singer, Libbie has performed and recorded with many noted artists and groups including Paul Horn, Jane Getz, Sean Phillips, Buddy Collette, the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, the Roger Wagner Chorale, the Greg Smith singers, and the University of Michigan Symphonic Band and Orchestra. She has played flute on film scores for composers as diverse as Elmer Bernstein, David Amram and Bruce Langhorn. As a dancer and actress, she has appeared in film and and in professional musical theater, having worked with such noted directors as Herbert Bergoff, Paul Mazursky, Elia Kazan, and Uta Hagen. Her song "Summer At Last" was featured in the award-winning independent film "Made Up" written by her cousin Lynne Adams and starring her cousin Brooke Adams and directed by Tony Shalhoub. Libbie's first CD, "The Flute & Voice of Libbie Jo" was a finalist in the international jazz competition EuroClubDeJazz. She received an ASCAP Super Song Award for her song "Love Is So Revealing," wrote incidental flute music for an American Library Association Best Film, and was named "One of L.A.'s Best Music Teachers" by L.A. Magazine.
