Liblikas is a face-melting heart-warming rock band from Estonia whose creative juices tend to flow along the streets of the psychedelic prog-stoner world. Liblikas, whose name means butterfly in Estonian, reached its final form in 2012 with the addition of the final current member. Shortly thereafter, Liblikas released its first album „Wooden Spaceship“. After laying down a marker, Liblikas rode full steam ahead in search of new sounds. This culminated with the EP "Mothers' Finest" in 2014, which provided the push to fling Liblikas out of its shell and into Europe. Touring alternated with long but fruitful hours of working on the new album. The new album "Unholy Moly" is an eclectic free-for-all riff party which doesn’t compromise. The album is much more varied and dynamic in its composition than previous releases. Desert riffs and guitar harmonies have intertwined with synth, organ and lap steel sounds. The listener is blasted into orbit with a swarm of guitar pedals and pulled back down onto country roads with banjo solos. The inspiration for vocals varies from Iggy Pop and David Bowie to Gojira and Baroness. Main vocals are supported by two back vocals that lure you in and guide you home. Cameos of angelic female vocals and hell-raising male growls add another dimension to the soundscape of the slimy bastard that is „Unholy Moly“.
