Lieutenant

Primarily a solo vehicle for <a href="spotify:artist:7jy3rLJdDQY21OgRLCZ9sD">Foo Fighters</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2lZkXWxkZsZzBocxMjN1or">Sunny Day Real Estate</a> bassist Nate Mendel, Lieutenant make passionate, melodic modern rock. Looking for another outlet to showcase his songwriting, vocals, and guitar skills, Mendel began using down time between <a href="spotify:artist:7jy3rLJdDQY21OgRLCZ9sD">Foo Fighters</a> engagements to record his ideas with <a href="spotify:artist:4LG4Bs1Gadht7TCrMytQUO">Shins</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1yAwtBaoHLEDWAnWR87hBT">Modest Mouse</a> drummer Joe Plummer. The project developed over time, and in 2015 Mendel released Lieutenant's debut album, If I Kill This Thing We're All Going to Eat for a Week, on <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Dine+Alone+Records%22">Dine Alone Records</a>.
