Life on Venus is a dream pop trio from the heart of Russia. Their music blends joyful and dramatic feelings expressed with noisy, reverberated instruments. Hazy vocal lines and deep sound reminds of the very best of the 80s and the 90s shoegaze scene.
The first full-length album “Encounters” was released in 2017. It is a combination of surreal soundscapes and dreamy melodies telling a story of their own. After releasing EP “Departure” in spring 2019, Life on Venus went on our first Europe tour, visiting 11 cities in 6 countries.
The second LP “Odes To The Void” may seem a bit gloomier and darker, but still it retains the vibes of its predecessor, approaching them from a different point of view. It is based on the idea of overcoming an irrational fear of the unknown through our unity with each other.
