LIJUNDRA, Lithuanian for “freezing rain,” is a natural and musical phenomenon emerging from the heart of Lithuania - Vilnius. Originally founded in January of 2024 by Eva (rhythm guitar) and Liepa (bass guitar), Matas (backing vocals and lead guitar) joined a few months later - in September. At the end of the same year, in December, Tomas (vocals) joined, and at the start of 2025, in January, 107 (drums) completed the band lineup. Since the very start, LIJUNDRA have been experimenting with their image, musical and lyrical composition. They strive to break the stereotypes of how black metal sounds and reach for new heights. LIJUNDRA’s lyrics are heavily inspired by nature, darkness and mystery, while including rain-like melancholic melodies and harsh, icy, yet groovy instrumentals.
