Lil Bam

Alabama rapper Lil Bam attracted serious attention for the infectious flow and creeping, trappy hooks of his 2019 single "Julio." In addition to appearing on his 2020 mixtape Airport Baby, the song reached even more listeners when a remix featuring <a href="spotify:artist:1sBkRIssrMs1AbVkOJbc7a">Rick Ross</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7BtDOCA9U1krM87JITg6bF">Jucee Froot</a> arrived in July of 2020.

Signed with the MBK4L label, Birmingham native Lil Bam began releasing widely distributed music in 2018 with the Hardhead mixtape. The seven-song project collected some of his best tracks, including "Rapper & Trapper," a collaboration with <a href="spotify:artist:5f7VJjfbwm532GiveGC0ZK">Lil Baby</a>. The next year he released the Newborn mixtape, but it was his "Julio" single that made the biggest impact, being streamed over a million times. His 2020 mixtape Airport Baby included the song as well as 16 other slow-moving trap bangers and a single feature from fellow Alabama rapper Clever. Leading up to the release of a proper studio album, Lil Bam put out a remix of his best-known song "Julio" featuring iconic Miami rapper <a href="spotify:artist:1sBkRIssrMs1AbVkOJbc7a">Rick Ross</a> and Memphis-based <a href="spotify:artist:7BtDOCA9U1krM87JITg6bF">Jucee Froot</a>. ~ Fred Thomas, Rovi
