Lil Dee (aka Danny James) is said by many to be the next rapper to carry the torch of hip hop. From the young age of 12, Dee spent all of his time learning how to rap by listening to rap legends, and studying the culture on a daily basis. The Coney Island native used social media to put himself on the map by releasing freestyles weekly, staying consistent, and murdering every song/cypher he stepped on.
Dee has performed at world-renowned venues like Radio City Music Hall, Coney Island Amphitheater, and the LA Memorial Coliseum. He’s opened up for big names like Rick Ross, Lil Tjay, Busta Rhymes, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, and countless others. His list of co-signs are filled with rap legends and Hollywood stars such as RedMan, Mark Wahlberg, Ice T, Big Daddy Kane, Michael Rapaport and Benny The Butcher, just to name a few. At 14 years of age, he was marked as the youngest rapper to ever perform at the legendary Lyricist Lounge. Dee has released five EPs, several singles that vary in versatility, and has been featured on songs with heavy hitters like Kool G Rap, Nems, J Dilla and RJ Payne.
His versatility, skill, consistency, and golden era roots have convinced the masses that he is the next big thing. With over 400,000 fans world wide, a New York Knicks commercial, and over 100 million views, the New York Post states that “Lil Dee is ready to take Hip Hop by storm” in the coming years.
