Hungry, born Sean Norgan, a now Calgary-based artist, is a symbol of resilience, endurance, and evolution. Orphaned at a young age after losing his mother to cancer, he was raised in a home plagued by addiction and instability. By his teens, Hungry found himself immersed in the streets, caught in a cycle of addiction while navigating the chaos of the downtown eastside. At 14, he turned to writing rhymes, using music to channel his pain and find purpose.
Fatherhood at 22 marked a pivotal shift. With a child to raise, Hungry knew he had to break free from a destructive path. Rising from busboy to management at Fortune Sound Club, he helped shape the culture at the iconic venue and co-founded HOUSEHOLD, a label that launched his independent rise.
Known for his unapologetic anti-establishment views, Hungry’s music challenges the status quo. His electrifying performances have captivated audiences across the country. Despite battling addiction, his determination never faltered. His collaborations with heavyweights 38 Spesh, Flip Dinero, Freddie Gibbs, Dave East, Boldy James, Rittz, and Pressa showcase his sharp lyricism and raw, authentic delivery.
In 2024, Hungry toured across Canada with Redman and Method Man; he has also shared stages with legends like Mobb Deep, Slick Rick, and Yelawolf.
Hungry’s journey is a testament to persistence and personal growth. He has turned his hardest challenges into fuel for his success, proving transformation is possible against all odds.
