Norwegian musician Lil Halima blends genres like pop, smooth soul, and electronica into her soft-spoken, off-balance R&B. After signing with <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Universal%22">Universal</a>, she emerged in 2018 with the singles "Abstract" and "Train."
Raised in the small northern town of Bardu in Troms, Norway, Lillian Halima Anderssen began singing at a young age and later studied the violin, but didn't consider the idea of becoming a professional musician until she was graduating from high school. In 2017, she moved to Oslo and began making friends and contacts in the music industry. On the strength of a few clips of her music on social media, she was signed to <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Universal%22">Universal</a> affiliate <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Def+Jam+Recordings+Norway%22">Def Jam Recordings Norway</a>, and in April 2018, at the age of 19, she released her debut single, "Abstract."
