Lil Man J, born and raised in Clover, SC,
started recording songs on GarageBand when he was only 13 years old. At 14, he started regularly posting songs on all of the DSPs. His family taught him the value of hard work, and at the age of 16 he got a job detailing cars to pay for time at a real studio.
His breakthrough came right around his seventeenth birthday, when he graduated from high school and dropped his song "Cap Freestyle" that soon became a viral sensation, reaching the Top 5 on Spotify's US Viral chart. This stirred up the pot on social media with a lot of chatter, but all the reaction videos admitted that J has talent and could really make it in the industry.
J did this all completely on his own aswell, Since the days of detailing cars. At the time of "Cap Freestyle", he had no label, no manager, and no team. He picked his own beats as his own A&R did all his own social content, scripted his own videos, and even negotiated his own agreements.
He also accomplished all of this before turning 18 despite having four major physical disabilities, namely scoliosis, a cleft palate, club feet, and Distal Arthrogryposis. But None Of That Is Going To Stop This South Carolina Artist. He will keep making music and content and turning doubters and haters into believers until he has taken over the game.
