Born in Boston, MA, raised in Raleigh, NC, and currently residing in Nashville, TN, singer-songwriter Kevin Powers draws inspiration from his diverse upbringing to carve a new lane in popular music. Coined “Southern Pop”, Kevin’s unique style emerged with breakout singles in 2020 “Walked In” and “How You Been?”, amassing 22M and 14.5M streams on Spotify alone. His talents as a writer have thrust him even further into the spotlight, with co-writing credits on Shaboozey and Jelly Roll’s 2025 hit “Amen” which has garnered over 50M streams in just 3 months since its release.

Kevin’s early success and his ability to work as both an artist and a writer at the highest level have attracted serious attention in the industry. In 2025, he has inked a deal with Sony Music Publishing, signed to Range Media Partners for management, and will be one of the first to join Shaboozey’s new joint venture record label “American Dogwood”. Powers will also be opening for Shaboozey on his Fall 2025 12-stop USA tour “The Great American Road Show”.
