A fashion-obsessed rapper with a distinctly helium-pitched, cartoonish voice, Lil Shordie Scott achieved viral success in 2022 with his Cardi B-referencing single "Rocking a Cardigan in Atlanta."
Atlanta-based Lil Shordie Scott first appeared in 2021, releasing songs such as "back of the bus freestyle" (with Rich Amiri) on SoundCloud. "Rocking a Cardigan in Atlanta," which opens with the line "I wanna take a pic with Cardi B inside my cardigan," arrived in early 2022. The song became a viral hit on TikTok, and cracked the Billboard Hot 100 in March. A remix featuring Cardi B's husband, Offset of Migos, was released in April.
