Through a lot of collaborations and award nominated solo releases, Lise Westzynthius has gained a very special status on the Danish music scene. She started as part of the group Luksus (with Mikael Simpson, Henrik Vibskov and Georg Rune Andersen) and has since, among other things, written a critically acclaimed album with Nikolaj Nørlund and released 5 solo albums in both Danish and English, one of them (ROCK, YOU CAN FLY) released by One Little Indian UK/US.
After her last album release JA (2018), Lise Westzynthius has now launched her new project – the feminist music collective SOLEN ER SEXET established in collaboration with award-winning author and playwright Bjørn Rasmussen.
SOLEN ER SEXET released 5 singles in the spring of 2022, and on June 3rd, their debut album was released. An album that features artists like GRO, HunBjørn, O/RIOH, Maria Laurette Friis, Henrik Vibskov, and many more.
