Lisette is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Simon Van Weereld. His musical story started in 2020 with the release of his debut EP The Week 2 on Turnhout-based Gazer Tapes. After that, things remained quiet. Five years and a first child later, Lisette is all the way back. He traded in the playful indie rock for a slightly more intimate, grandiose sound, clearly audible in his brand new single “Lucy" for which he collaborated with producer Felix Machtelinckx, frontman of Antwerp band Tin Fingers. With an engaging performance and catchy songs, he transforms any stage into a dark pub. Expect a dose of mysticism, a touch of nostalgia and a heavy dose of comfort.
