Little Black Dress

Formed in 2005 by veteran Dallas musicians Toby Pipes (who hit the big time in1993 with the Top Ten hit “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” with the band <a href="spotify:artist:5N5RfI8FFXk4WQ8kkjE407">Deep Blue Something</a>) and Nolan Thies, Texas-based indie rock outfit Little Black Dress crafts arena-sized pop songs in the style of classic shoegaze, synth pop, and Brit-pop acts like <a href="spotify:artist:3G3Gdm0ZRAOxLrbyjfhii5">My Bloody Valentine</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:762310PdDnwsDxAQxzQkfX">Depeche Mode</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1QPWAsWIjRcTfvY5uH8dov">Catherine Wheel</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2kS4yz85MaZlxp2VaS3BEe">Cabaret Voltaire</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:0Sd7X8SxWV0AyDLbvd4uEu">Swervedriver.</a> Rounded out by guitarists Brent Elrod and Taylor Tatsch, drummer Earl Darling and electric drummer/keyboardist Cooper Heffley, Little Black Dress released its full-length debut, Snow in June, on <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Exploding+Plastic%22">Exploding Plastic</a>/<a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Idol+Records%22">Idol Records</a> in 2009. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
