After a fourth failed attempt to perform a submarine exorcism, Lawrence, Kansas band Lizard Brain Trust gave up their collective desire to rid the world of clown demons, sold the remainder of their comic books, and agreed to start an indie rock band.
Influenced by the likes of Guided By Voices, Sebadoh, Elliott Smith, New Order, Yes, Kenny G, Manhattan High School Pops Choir, and sandbox-era Brian Wilson, this 4.35-piece strives to imagine a universe in which, somehow, Kurt Cobain’s favorite album is Alien Lanes and the last six years never happened.
Pulling its members from a slew of beloved midwestern bands from the last two decades (Podstar, Stiff Middle Fingers, Many Moods of Dad, and the Dead Girls, to name a few) and a guy who once broke both arms at the same time (and had an eye patch and if that shit wasn’t traumatic enough as a child his mom likes to bring it up to fucking strangers). Prepare to have your lizard brain blown and shit
