This US garage rock outfit features members of other notable New York City alt rock bands, namely Boss Hog (drummer turned vocalist/guitarist Hollis Queens and guitarist Jens Jürgensen) and Speedball Baby (drummer Martin Owens). When the band formed originally during the late 90s, Lo-Hi was a duo comprised of Queens and Owens, a line-up which was showcased on 1998’s Kind Of Like A Feel Good Thing. After supporting the release opening for acts such as the Make-Up, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Brassy, and Blonde Redhead, the members of Lo-Hi went their separate ways with Queens returning to Boss Hog for their 2000 release, Whiteout). Queens and Owens resuscitated Lo-Hi in 2002, expanding the band’s line-up to include Jürgensen and bass player Justin Holub and recording their second album, Say It More.
