Born out of the gritty Glasgow rock scene, Lonehead are a powerful three piece band playing their own brand of melodic alternative rock. Their sound, polished through many gigs in legendary haunts like The Scotia and the Clutha Vaults lands somewhere between Cream and The Manics or maybe Biffy, The Clash and The Who. Featuring the virtuoso lead guitar of Glasgow legend 'Uncle' Jim Keilt, the band signed to new Glasgow music label Frantastic68 Records (iOcco Music).
Lonehead recorded 16 tracks featuring original drummer Craig Hadden and have released their debut EP 'Jazz Killer' and follow up singles 'Monkey Boots' and 'Clockwork Radio' which have both picked up multiple radio plays including spins on American, European and Australian radio. This has included support from legendary DJ Tom Morton on BBC Radio and huge support from the beard of doom, Tom Russell's on Celtic Radio who was “blown away “ by their sound. As well as this the band were nominated for Single of the year on Radio Six International and have reached no 17 in the Scottish New Music Chart. Referred to as 'the Caledonian rock machine' by Julian Marszalek of The Quietus, Lonehead are fronted by singer bass player Martin Jenkins and bolstered by ex Cosmic Rough Rider Mark Brown on drums. Lonehead's debut album 'Wonderful and how to get it" is out now. Following the release of EP 'Too Long Gone' and a string of singles in 2021/22 a new Lonehead song, 'Heavy Weather' is out NOW on Spotify
