Simon Reed

Simon Reed is a Blues Rock guitarist and vocalist from London, England. Having spent many years playing guitar in numerous bands both in the UK and the US as well as performing as a session musician, he released his first solo single in 2019. ‘Nola Blues’ featured Simon on both guitar and vocals, and was recorded with Nick Sagona (bass, keys) and Tucker Crawford (drums) at Digiphonic Studios in New Orleans USA in May 2019. The song is an ode to the crescent city where he lived and played for 2.5 years in the very early 2000’s; a time that he cites as having a profound and everlasting impact on him musically.

Simon returned to New Orleans in March 2020 to record new material resulting in the latest single 'Hurricane'. The same band members played on the track, with the addition of Harry Waters (Roger Waters, McNally Waters) on B3 organ, added at his studio in LA where the vocals were also tracked. The track was mixed by renowned producer Kevin 'Caveman' Shirley (Joe Bonamassa, Black Crowes, Led Zeppelin) to add the finishing touches to a bluesrock banger!
