This Māori proverb is so relevant to why we love making music for ngā tamariki o Aotearoa, and beyond. Tamariki are ngā kākano/the seeds that take root, develop and grow through the nourishment of listening, singing, and participating in music, made just for them!
We are a sister duo, who have been immersed in music our whole lives! From singing in church, to playing in bands/orchestras, to teaching. We love to promote our beautiful te reo Māori language in our bilingual waiata, and also our Pasifika languages.
Our passion lies in creating bilingual music that help tamariki connect with their own language or learn a new language. We also love running our weekly outreach sessions, where we create an opportunity for churches/community groups to connect with families in their communities. The sessions allow families to come together with their preschoolers to learn and grow through music, and to meet other local parents.
