Los Aptos is a Mexican music group from Fort Wayne, Indiana. The groups members are Juan Ortega, Jonathan Rivera, and Daniel Vaides. Juan sings, writes the music, and is in charge of production, Jonathan is the lead bassist, and Daniel plays keys, engineers, and produces.
Their music combines the roots of regional Mexican music along with rock, pop, soul, jazz, and alternative. It’s all a product of growing up within a Hispanic household while living in America.
In 2019 Juan had gained a small following on his Instagram account uploading covers with Jony. Then in early 2020 with the pandemic going on Los Aptos was made. That year Juan and Jony went on to drop their first EP “Mis Illusiones”. Later on in that year the breakout single Enamorado was dropped that put Los Aptos on the map and opened many doors for them.
In February of 2022 they received a distribution deal with Warner Latina. Later on in this year is when Daniel was formed into the group officially after only working as an engineer in the year prior. They’ve gone on to play at major music festivals like Lolla Palooza, Guest for Dannylux at Coachella, Ruidofest, and Pomona. They’ve collaborated with artist such as Cuco, Dannylux, Erre, Dariell Cano, Xavi, and Connexion Divina.
