Los Aptos is a genre-blending trio redefining the sound of música mexicana from an unexpected place—Fort Wayne, Indiana. Formed by Juan Ortega, Jonathan Rivera, and Daniel Vaides, the group fuses the emotional core of regional Mexican music with alternative rock, pop, soul, jazz, and R&B, creating a sound as bicultural as their upbringing in Latino-American households.
Juan leads as vocalist, songwriter, and producer; Jonathan lays the foundation on bass; and Daniel rounds out the group on keys, engineering, and co-production. What started in 2019 as Instagram covers by Juan and Jony quickly evolved into a full-fledged project during the pandemic. Their debut EP Mis Ilusiones dropped in 2020, but it was their breakout single “Enamorado” that put Los Aptos on the map, capturing hearts with its melancholic charm and dreamy production.
In 2022, the band signed a deal with VPS Music / Warner Music Latina, marking a major step in their growing career. Since then, they’ve graced stages at Lollapalooza, Coachella (as guests of Dannylux), Ruidofest, and Pomona, and have collaborated with artists including Cuco, Dannylux, Xavi, Dariell Cano, and Connexion Divina.
Now, with the release of their fifth studio album Temporadas, Los Aptos continues to evolve—exploring deeper emotional landscapes while pushing the boundaries of their sound.
