Latin rock band from Argentina los Caballeros de la Quema was formed in 1989, issuing its first independent record, called Primavera Negra, in 1991. After signing up to Iguana Records, a BMG associate label, the group released Manos Vacías in 1993. Soon after, the band had the opportunity to open for <a href="spotify:artist:4aeIWo5CMF1uRmqgJdwkZW">Joaquín Sabina</a> and later for <a href="spotify:artist:7Ey4PD4MYsKc5I2dolUwbH">Aerosmith</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:49DW3KvkyjHO35mK1JnSyS">the Cult</a>, while these international acts were touring South America. In 1994, los Caballeros de la Quema recorded Sangrando. In addition, the band contributed with a song called "Hola Frank" to Sumo's tribute album. Singer/songwriter León Gieco participated in the band's 1996 album Perros, Perros, Perros, followed by successful La Paciencia de la Araña in 1998.
