Asimismo, Los Chipis se convirtieron en uno de los grupos de cumbia más taquilleros de los años 80`s llenando con gran éxito cada lugar donde se presentaban.

Los Chipis are one of the most well-known and respected cumbia acts in Peru. Formed in the 80s, they were characterized by their original and festive style that was always present at families’ parties all over the country with hits such as "La Isla Encantada" and "Matarina". Los Chipis also became one of the biggest Peruvian Cumbia live acts in the 80´s selling out big concert venues all over the country.
