Dream Rock outfit Lost Cousins' latest album, "Point No Point", serves as a timeless portal to our innermost thoughts and core memories, shaping how we approach our present-day relationships.
To create this captivating space, members Cam Duffin (Vocals, Multi-Instrumentalist), Lloyd McArton (Guitar, Saxophone), Thomas Dashney (Synthesizer, Keyboards), Sean Aston MacTaggart (Bass Guitar), and Marcus Sisk (Drums) embarked on a retreat to a remote mountaintop chalet. There, they meticulously self-recorded and fused together the pieces of this complex mosaic of sounds, a signature of Lost Cousins honed over time through years of dedicated work in seclusion.
Each track immerses listeners in vivid memories, evoking the lush sounds of forest lakes, the vastness of the Pacific Ocean, the comforting embrace of Toronto apartments, and the enchanting beauty of the Laurentians in Quebec.
The album’s core creative vision comes from lead songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Cam Duffin, who spent countless hours refining the songs to develop a distinctive sonic identity for the record. Despite struggling in isolation and questioning whether there was a point to weeks-long creative sessions in remote locations, all band members ensured the original vision for the album was never abandoned.
