For children, a night light glows in the corner of their bedroom to ward off nocturnal monsters that lurk in the shadows of their curious imaginations. For adults, night lights provide subtle guidance and familiar security in a groggy haze of half-awake darkness. For all, our bedroom’s small glowing orbs gently illuminate a path forward as we stumble out of a sub-consciousness slumber and into a more active state to take on life’s obstacles. It’s in these transitionary emotive states that the LA-based trio known as Night Lights thrives.

Kismetly bonded through the power of music while studying music in college, the multi-continental band of Mau Jimenez (Vocals - Mexico), Yusuke Sato (Guitar - Japan) and Dag Eirik Hanken (Drums - Norway), uses their colorful indie retro-future rock-pop, diverse backgrounds, emotive lyrics, hooky melodies, harmonic progressions, and colorful danceability to address, and celebrate, the innate duality of human emotions.

With a kaleidoscope of tones and hues in their music, Night Lights have a devout following that has propelled them to share stages with Joywave , Great Good Fine Ok, and Mako. With a couple of new singles and an EP on the way (produced with AKA Wolves) in 2021, it’s reassuring to know that Night Lights is shining their musical light to help guide us through life’s inward and outward journeys, alike.
