Rising out of Germany’s electronic underground is Lost Rhythm. Berlin based artist Sal Schenkel created the Lost Rhythm moniker out of a love for rhythm, groove and melody. Taking inspiration from the likes of Adriatique and Tale of Us, Immediately recognized for his deep grooves, dramatic synths and astral atmospheres, the path to aural enlightenment had been set for Lost Rhythm. Looking to create a permanent home for his projects, Sal founded his Lostium imprint later in 2019. the German artist would go on to release four singles and two EPs via Lostium across the next two years. This creative swell proved impactful with electronic music luminaries John Digweed, Mind Against, Solomun and more all chiming in with support.
Continuing to perfect his craft, Lost Rhythm’s otherworldly sound was further recognized in 2022 by Steyoyoke. the instantly seductive ‘Aetheria’. Remixed by Steyoyoke label stalwart MPathy, the track would feature on the imprint’s popular ‘Ethereal Techno’ series and quickly rise to the top of his Beatport Best Sellers.
Also beloved as a DJ, Lost Rhythm has been applauded for his impeccable taste and exquisite programming skills. The German selector is on a never-ending quest for the freshest sounds and promising talent.
